Ooohh. Found this through another blogger`s site. Band is called Eisley, and I cannot stop listening to them. I find their songs somehow lightly haunting, if that`s possible... This song is called I Wasn't Prepared.
If you have musical taste like me, you`ll be glad to listen to their other songs, particularly Invasion and Marvelous Things. I think they`re playing on Conan on Thurs, Aug. 30.
Lightly haunting is good description. The harmonies suggest haunting yet hopeful, and they owe a lot to producer Richard Gibbs for a tightly produced, inviting, melodic sophomore effort.
Very nice. You might like Aimee Mann, who did the soundtrack to the movie Magnolia. Just go to amazon.com and under the music section search for "magnolia."
Also: Duncan Sheik's CD, Phantom Moon, is another you might enjoy.
Ty greg, although I don`t know who Gibbs is, at the moment...
sa d. I completely love Aimee Mann AND Magnolia. did you know PT Anderson wrote the movie based on her songs? Very cool. Fiona apple had her hand in the mix as well. And TY for the suggestion. I`ll check out when I have the time... :)
Just trying to find the meaning in and of my life...
I just got here and my brain is still on my pillow; therefore, this is just what was on the top of my head at the time.
Enjoy responsibly...
